Product and Operations Associate

Full-time · On-site (Field) · Bengaluru, India

This role focuses on supplier coordination and execution across a global supplier network, working across the product lifecycle from development to production.

 

Experience limited to software, IT services, or unrelated industries is not relevant for this role.

 

Frequent travel across partner locations in India.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product concepts and translate design intent into production-ready outcomes  

  • Create and maintain technical drawings and product specifications for all SKUs  

  • Coordinate with suppliers across Europe and Asia  

  • Manage supplier communication on specifications, feasibility, revisions, and follow-ups  

  • Work with suppliers to refine materials, finishes, feasibility, and construction  

  • Manage sampling and iteration processes end-to-end  

  • Handle RFQs, pricing, MOQs, and lead times  

  • Track production status and ensure delivery timelines are met  

  • Coordinate production approvals and ensure manufacturability and quality  

  • Oversee production, inventory, and logistics workflows  

  • Undertake supplier and partner visits, including on-ground coordination  

  • Manage logistics, shipment coordination, and pre-dispatch checks  

  • Maintain structured product and supplier documentation, including version control  

  • Manage data across pricing, specifications, and dependencies  

  • Maintain visibility on delays and dependencies  

  • Drive operational process improvements

Requirements

  • Formal background in product or related design disciplines (National Institute of Design or similar is required)  

  • 2–5 years experience in product development, operations, sourcing, or manufacturing within consumer product or retail businesses, ideally in home, living, or material-led categories  

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating physical product design work (consumer products, furniture, or objects)  

  • Experience working directly with suppliers and production environments  

  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product construction 

  • Experience preparing designs for manufacturing  

  • Strong Illustrator and basic CAD skills  

  • Strong sensitivity to form, material, and quality  

  • Structured and detail-oriented approach  

  • Ability to take ownership and manage multiple workflows independently  

  • Comfortable working with structured data and spreadsheets  

  • Clear written and verbal communication (English)  

  • Must be based in Bengaluru  

  • Willingness to travel frequently across India (expenses covered)  

  • Experience in design-led, premium product environments is preferred
